Overthrow the Iranian regime
Naftali Bennett, the former Prime Minister of Israel, relying on his past relative popularity, has been one of the most active Israeli politicians in the media arena.
This popularity has not yet seriously increased among right-wing Israelis critical of Netanyahu, but it has turned him into a key figure in Israeli politics, and surveys have indicated his relatively favorable position in the upcoming elections.
In his recent interview with the New York Times, he stated that Netanyahu’s declared goal of the complete collapse of Hamas is an unattainable matter.
He warned that Israel must overthrow the Iranian regime before it reaches nuclear weapons to resolve crises. He described Israel’s continuous and endless confrontation with forces affiliated with Iran and not confronting the Iranian regime as foolish.
Bennett is the one who first used the octopus metaphor regarding the Iranian regime, depicting the forces affiliated with the Iranian regime as its tentacles.
