The Pakistan Army emphasized expanding regional cooperation to address security threats.

In their joint meeting chaired by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan Army commanders stressed strengthening regional cooperation, dialogue, de-escalation, and peaceful resolution of disputes to tackle common security challenges.

In this meeting, the latest regional developments, Pakistan’s tensions with Afghanistan and India, terrorist threats, and preparedness for dealing with conventional, asymmetric, and hybrid threats were reviewed. The army commanders also emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to international laws and the development of regional cooperation.

The Pakistan Army once again accused the Afghan Taliban of not preventing the activities of armed groups on Afghan soil against Pakistan and announced that Operation Wrath of the Truth will continue against these threats.

In another part of the meeting, army commanders, referring to water disputes with India, emphasized pursuing Pakistan’s rights concerning water resources and taking necessary actions within the framework of the country’s government policies.
