Pakistan’s Foreign Minister: 20 Iranian citizens on seized ships will be transferred to Islamabad

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister announced that eleven Pakistani citizens and 20 Iranian citizens who were trapped on ships seized by the United States in international waters will be transferred to Islamabad.

Ishaq Dar: I am pleased to announce that we have succeeded in repatriating eleven Pakistani citizens along with 20 citizens of the brotherly country of Iran via Singapore, who were present on ships seized by the United States in international waters.

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister added that all these individuals are in full health and in good spirits.

Ishaq Dar added that all these individuals have reached Bangkok from Singapore and are now on a flight that is scheduled to arrive in Islamabad late tonight, after which the return of the Iranian brothers to their homeland will be facilitated.

He expressed gratitude to the US government and Marco Rubio, the country’s Foreign Minister, as well as the Singaporean Foreign Minister and the officials of that country, and Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, for the trust placed in Pakistan to repatriate our Iranian brothers.
