The Interior Minister of Pakistan is traveling to Tehran for the second time in less than three weeks.

Iranian state media, citing Pakistani sources, reported that Mohsen Reza Naqvi, the Interior Minister of Pakistan, will arrive in Tehran on Saturday for an official visit.

This visit takes place while he had previously held separate talks with Iskandar Momeni, Iran’s Interior Minister, on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s interior ministers’ meeting in Kyrgyzstan.

Naqvi had also made an unannounced visit to Tehran in early June, where he met with Iranian government officials and negotiators. This visit was part of Islamabad’s efforts to help reach an agreement aimed at ending the conflict between Iran and the United States.

Meanwhile, media outlets have reported, citing Al-Nahar newspaper, that Field Marshal Asim Munir, the commander of Pakistan’s army, will host General Rudolf Heikal, the commander of the Lebanese army, in Islamabad on Saturday.
