Pezeshkian: The agreement to end the war was not out of fear and surrender
Masoud Pezeshkian, the President, referring to the signing of the memorandum to end the war, said this decision was made based on collective wisdom and in coordination with the members of the Security Council, heads of the branches of power, military forces, and other sectors of the country.
Pezeshkian said the majority accepted the agreement considering the principles of wisdom, dignity, and expediency. None of the individuals gave in because they were all able to manage the war and stand against the overwhelming nuclear power of the world.
The President emphasized that the signing of the agreement was not out of fear and surrender but was formed based on logic and awareness. However, some people are sitting on the sidelines and are making incorrect statements.
Pezeshkian also listed achieving the end of the war, creating unity and empathy, and utilizing the skills, experience, and knowledge of capable individuals as priority policies of the fourteenth government.
He, referring to internal developments and the recent war, said the enemies thought they could cause the country’s collapse with a widespread attack within a few days after creating chaos in December, but according to him, the unity and cohesion of the society prevented this goal from being achieved.
The President also emphasized the necessity of maintaining empathy, addressing social damages and tensions, and using the capacity of academics and elites to solve the country’s issues, including the environment, imbalances, and water governance.
