The President of Poland says Poland is ready to host and deploy NATO’s nuclear weapons
Andrzej Duda, the President of Poland, announced on Monday, April 23, that his country is ready to host and deploy NATO’s nuclear weapons, following Russia’s actions to strengthen its nuclear arsenal in Belarus and Kaliningrad.
Duda stated that if our allies decide to deploy nuclear weapons on our soil as part of a joint nuclear program to strengthen the eastern flank, we are ready.
Following Duda’s remarks, Russia warned on Monday that if Poland hosts nuclear weapons, it will take necessary actions to ensure security. Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, said the military will analyze the situation and will take all necessary countermeasures to ensure our security.
