There is a possibility of revoking the death sentence of Dr. Hamid Gharehhasanlou according to negotiations by some officials like Velayati with the Leader of the Islamic Republic.

Hamid Gharehhasanlou, one of those arrested during the nationwide protests in 2022 in Iran, is a Gonabadi Dervish, a doctor, and a medical imaging specialist who has been accused in the Karaj Revolutionary Court of killing an officer during the ceremony of the 40th day after Hadis Najafi’s death in the city of Karaj. He, along with his wife Farzaneh Gharehhasanlou, was severely beaten at the time of arrest, resulting in four of Gharehhasanlou’s ribs being broken.

The court has charged this couple along with 13 others in this case with waging war against God and corruption on Earth. None of the defendants in this case had the right to choose a lawyer, and court-appointed lawyers defended them.

According to received news, there is a possibility of revoking this doctor’s death sentence through Velayati’s negotiations with the Leader of Iran.
