Government failure in the housing sector
The newspaper Ham-Mihan wrote that the one-year life of the thirteenth government led by Raeisi is coming to an end. Raeisi came to the scene with numerous promises but failed to fulfill them. Construction and control of housing prices after inflation were among the most important programs of the thirteenth government.
From the beginning, when Ebrahim Raeisi promised to build four million houses, experts stated in interviews that this promise is not feasible. Banks announced that they do not have the capacity to pay loans of several hundred million tomans, and ministries did not allocate their surplus lands for the implementation of the plan.
Today, the government still insists on implementing this promise. They still report statistics on the allocated facilities and the lands considered for the national initiative plan, although these statistics have significant discrepancies with the promises made.
