The Russian president spoke about the final match of the 2022 World Cup
Vladimir Putin, after his meeting with Alexander Lukashenko, the President of Belarus, mentioned in a press conference the final match of the 2022 World Cup between the national teams of Argentina and France, which ended with Argentina’s victory in penalty kicks. He stated that he started watching the second half of this game when the score was 2-2 and watched the extra time as well. After that, he couldn’t resist contacting the President of Argentina.
The Russian president added, ‘I congratulate my Argentine counterpart. I know that Argentina is a football-loving country. The people there are really very kind and love their players. I think they deserved this victory.’
