Qalibaf and Talabani emphasized expanding security cooperation

Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf claimed that during the 40-day war, the US intended to undertake security and military actions against Iran through the Iraqi Kurdistan region, but this plan was thwarted with the cooperation of the regional authorities and the response of Iran’s armed forces

He accused the US and Israel of trying to create discord between Iran and Iraq and called for the expansion of the two sides’ security and economic relations

Bafel Talabani, the head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan in Iraq, also said he considers Iran’s war as his own and emphasized readiness to implement the Tehran-Baghdad security agreement
