Ghalibaf said, ‘No one in the country has been subjected to as much false accusation and defamation as I have.’
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the candidate for the fourteenth presidential election, stated on Thursday morning, 24 Khordad 1403, in a meeting with officials of provincial headquarters, ‘Today we are at a very important and fundamental point in the path of the Islamic Revolution, which is a decision-making point and its importance is very high.’
Ghalibaf continued, ‘No one in the Islamic Republic has been subjected to as much false accusation and defamation as I have. Friends say don’t remain silent and respond. I have responded to all of these accusations, but who listens? I could have filed a complaint with the judiciary. I asked the Attorney General to issue a verdict, and they have been convicted in primary and appellate courts, yet they continue. We in the political front must move forward with unity and continue the work. We are only in your service for about two weeks, so do not let peripheral issues overshadow your main activities.’
This presidential candidate concluded by saying, ‘We do not want this unity and solidarity only until the eighth of Tir month. If I am fortunate enough to serve, I will definitely open my arms wider and enhance convergence after the election day, so that we can accomplish tasks using all capacities.’
