Qalibaf: Rouhani and Zarif’s positions have damaged Iran-Russia strategic cooperation
Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf says Hassan Rouhani and Mohammad Javad Zarif, the former president and foreign minister of Iran, have damaged the progress of Tehran-Moscow strategic cooperation with their recent positions.
The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly on Sunday, October 25, in his speech in the parliament, said, ‘I find it necessary to express my clear criticism of the positions of the former president and foreign minister, which, precisely at a time when our strategic cooperation with Russia is advancing, have damaged this path with their positions.’
On October 16, Mohammad Javad Zarif, in a speech, said that despite his belief in strategic relations with Russia, from Moscow’s perspective, Iran should never have calm relations with the world and at the same time, its tensions with the world should not escalate into conflict.
