Qazizadeh Hashemi’s response regarding his withdrawal: If someone does not consider themselves the most qualified, it is religiously forbidden for them to become a candidate.
The presidential candidate emphasized that foreign policy must yield results, stating that the thirteenth government changed delusional diplomacy to pragmatic diplomacy.
Amirhossein Qazizadeh Hashemi, the candidate for the fourteenth presidential election, was a guest at the political roundtable today.
In response to Ebrahim Motaghi’s question about withdrawing from the election, Amirhossein Qazizadeh said, ‘My perspective on the election is religious and a duty. If someone does not consider themselves the most qualified, it is religiously forbidden for them to become a candidate. It is clear that we are all children of the revolution, and the Islamic Revolution encompasses all schools of thought.’
He said, ‘Presidents, aside from the leadership, either get killed or something else happens to them, meaning they end up entangling themselves. Those who are politically closer should do the right thing. This does not mean that everyone should withdraw in favor of one another. There are many ongoing discussions. I have a bad track record with withdrawing, as I did not withdraw last time.’
