While it was previously announced that a decision regarding Queiroz’s contract with the national team would be made after the World Cup, we have heard that the likelihood of this coach staying for the Qatar Asian Cup is very high.
Queiroz’s current contract with the national team and the football federation is for three months, but the chances of seeing Carlos on the national team’s bench after the World Cup are high. It is even rumored that some agreements have been reached in this regard, although they are not official, and in any case, the parties must negotiate more formally and reach an agreement after the World Cup. It is expected that if the national team achieves satisfactory results in Qatar, there will be no significant issues in continuing the collaboration.
The Iranian team has about a year after the World Cup to prepare for the Asian Cup. Previously, there was talk of having an Iranian coach for the Asian Cup, but the reality is that currently, there is no good Iranian option, and many experts believe that even if Queiroz does not achieve results in the World Cup, it is better for another foreign coach to replace him.
