Reactions to the news of buying an airplane from Afghanistan

The news of the sale of a 29-year-old airplane from Afghanistan’s Kam Air to Iran’s Kish Air has sparked many reactions on social media.

Some users have compared Iran’s aviation fleet to that before the 1979 revolution.

One user wrote that before the revolution, Iran had the second safest airline in the world and operated the longest nonstop flight from Tehran to New York, but today it buys a 30-year-old airplane from Afghanistan.

This news was first published by the Aftab-e Yazd newspaper. Mansour Mozaffari, the editor-in-chief of this newspaper, mentioned in his editorial that according to the head of the Civil Aviation Organization, 90 airplanes are to be added to the fleet during the 13th government, and he added humorously that we should pray only this one has been imported.

He further added that he read on social media that Kish Air bought this airplane, which is 29 years old and was made for Italy in 1995, and that it was retired after 19 years of service.
