Reconciliation between Queiroz and Mehdi Rahmati
Mehdi Rahmati and Khosro Heydari, two former players of Iran’s national football team, visited Carlos Queiroz today.
Today’s Sunday training of the national football team was held under conditions where Mehdi Rahmati and Khosro Heydari, two former players of Iran’s national football team, met with Carlos Queiroz at the national teams’ camp.
The challenges between Queiroz and Rahmati on the road to qualifying for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil had caused their relationship to be affected by Rahmati’s exclusion from the national team for a while.
After announcing his withdrawal from the national team and regretting this decision, Rahmati was never invited to the team by Queiroz again, but today, in the meeting with Queiroz, he put an end to past differences.
Rahmati is currently the head coach of the Aluminium Arak football team.
