Reoccurrence of poisoning among students in 4 schools in Qom city

ISNA news agency reports that several students from at least 4 schools in Qom city were poisoned today due to inhaling an unidentified gas.

ISNA news agency, without naming these schools, states that three are girls’ schools and one is a boys’ school.

Two days ago, 7 students and a teacher at Belqis Boqaei School in Qom were poisoned.

Last Thursday, the Public Relations of Qom Prosecutor’s Office announced the formation of a meeting attended by the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor of Qom, the Deputy of Standards, and officials from the Non-Active Defense Faculty of the Medical Sciences, Firefighting, Education, and Welfare departments of the province to investigate the dimensions and causes of this incident and propose preventive measures.

IRNA has written about the history of these poisonings in Qom province. On February 18th, 15 high school students were poisoned. On February 10th, 17 students and a teacher were poisoned at Fatimiyeh Girls’ School in Qom. On December 12th, 7 students and a teacher were poisoned at Noor Girls’ High School in Qom. On December 22nd, 51 students from this school were poisoned and transferred to medical centers.
