Removal of Persepolis Image from the 100,000 Toman Banknote

The 100,000 Toman banknote in Iran was previously issued with an image of Persepolis, but initial images of the new version of this banknote show that the Persepolis monument has been removed and replaced with an image of the burial site of Fatemeh Masumeh, the daughter of the seventh Imam of the Shia, in Qom.

The new 100,000 Toman banknote bears the signature of Ali Salehabadi, the current governor of the Central Bank.
