Zahedan University of Medical Sciences: New method of smuggling infant formula by renting national ID cards

The Deputy for Treatment at Zahedan University of Medical Sciences has implemented new planning systems since October 12th to intensify supervision and prevent the smuggling of infant formula out of the country through illegal means, as profiteers were engaging in this illegal activity. Infant formula is essential for breastfeeding infants.

To prevent smuggling, individuals can receive subsidies for infant formula by registering the national ID code of the breastfeeding infant. Unfortunately, some individuals are collecting national ID cards of infants who do not need infant formula for their own profit-seeking purposes.
