Report by HamMihan Newspaper: Contaminated Serums Distributed in Iran and Also Exported to Iraq

According to the Ham-Mihan newspaper report, contaminated serums were distributed in Iran and also exported to Iraq.

Ham-Mihan newspaper reported, based on documents it possesses, that shipments of contaminated serums have been exported to Iraq, and part of the same shipment has been distributed within Iran.

The contamination of these export shipments was confirmed six months ago.

According to this report, the Food and Drug Organization became aware of the contaminated serum shipment only after some of these serums had been used.

In the Ham-Mihan report, a former board member of the Shahid Ghazi factory, who wished to remain anonymous, stated that injecting these serums could lead to the patient’s death, but there have been no reports of deaths due to serum contamination.

The Shahid Ghazi serum manufacturing factory is a subsidiary of the Shasta Social Security Investment Company. This factory began operations after renovating its production line during the Corona period, but it was closed again just one year after the renovation.
