Report of a Crime
A report about the killing of Mehrshad Shahidinejad has been published, citing three eyewitnesses from the last time Mehrshad was seen alive and his severe beating by officers.
The report states that he was running and trying to escape from the officers, but after tear gas was fired, he fell to the ground, and 78 people initially hit him with a stun gun and then with batons.
The report mentions that after a few minutes, the officers dragged him away, and the witnesses say it is unclear whether he died right there on the street or was killed after the officers took him away.
Mehrshad Shahidinejad’s relatives told Radio Farda that his entire body was bruised, he had been beaten very badly, the marks of blows on his head were completely visible, and his eyes had completely dried out from the tear gas.
Mehrshad Shahidinejad Monfared Tehrani, born on October 28, 2002, was a professional chef and worked in a café-restaurant named Boteh.
He was killed on the night of Wednesday, October 26, during the nationwide gatherings held for the fortieth day of Mahsa Amini’s death, in the protests in the city of Arak.
