The representative of the parliament has faced serious challenges with repeated power outages in industries.
The head of the parliament’s Construction Commission criticized the repeated power outages in industries and asked the Minister of Energy to take measures to prevent harm to industries while fulfilling his promises made during the vote of confidence.
Mohammad Reza Rezaei Kouchi, in an interview with the parliamentary news agency, criticized the Ministry of Energy’s performance regarding power outages in industries, stating that with the start of the summer season and increased peak electricity consumption, concerns and worries are rising among the people, economic activists, and industrialists regarding power outages for compensation.
This representative emphasized in the Islamic Consultative Assembly that power outages in the industrial sector will lead to higher production costs and ultimately all people will suffer. Similar incidents have occurred in the past years for construction materials such as cement and steel. Therefore, in a year named ‘Production Leap’ with people’s participation, we must not allow multiple power outages in industries to harm the country’s production.
The head of the parliament’s Construction Commission reminded once again that we request the Minister of Energy to have a precise plan to compensate for its shortcomings so that industries do not face challenges.
