Reuters reports Iran’s expansion of ballistic missile production

Reuters news agency reported, based on new satellite images, that Iran has significantly expanded its production of ballistic missiles at two important missile sites. Two American researchers evaluated that these two military sites in Iran have been developed to increase the production of ballistic missiles. The evaluation by the two American researchers was confirmed by three senior Iranian officials in conversation with Reuters.

In a report published on Tuesday, July 9th, Reuters states that Iran’s site expansion is related to an agreement reached in the fall of two years ago between Tehran and Moscow to transfer missiles to Russia following the conflict between the Russian army in Ukraine.

Reuters examined images taken by the commercial satellite company Planet Labs of the Modares military base and the Khajir missile production complex in Iran. Khajir is located southeast of Tehran, near the city of Pakdasht.
