Reza Haghighatnejad’s mother says the Revolutionary Guards have seized my child’s body

The mother of Reza Haghighatnejad, an Iranian journalist who passed away two weeks ago in Berlin, Germany, said in a video message, ‘I hadn’t seen my child for six years, and then during the six months of his illness, I had no information. After his transfer to Iran, they seized my child’s body at the airport.’

Reza Haghighatnejad’s body, which had been transferred to Iran with the necessary coordination and permits, was supposed to have a funeral and burial ceremony today, Thursday, the 5th of Aban, at the cemetery in the city of Dezhkord, Fars Province. It is said that the Haghighatnejad family is under pressure to agree to have his body buried in an unknown location.
