Rubio: Iran should negotiate directly with us instead of through third or fourth countries.

Marco Rubio, the Secretary of State and National Security Advisor in the Trump administration, said during a press conference following the NATO summit in the Netherlands that the Islamic Republic should negotiate directly with the United States, not through third or fourth countries.

During this press conference, Donald Trump asked Marco Rubio if he wanted to draft a small agreement for them to sign because he thought they could be persuaded to sign it, but he didn’t think it was necessary.

The U.S. President said that Iran is likely to focus on post-war reconstruction now. He doubted they would re-enter the nuclear program issue, thinking it might be over for them.
