Rubio: Most countries in the world consider Israel to have nuclear capabilities

Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State, said that most countries in the world believe that Israel has nuclear capabilities.

In response to some Congress members’ request for clarification about Israel’s nuclear program, he said he could not comment publicly on the matter but is ready to share more details in a confidential session with lawmakers.

Rubio’s remarks came following a request from about 30 Democratic Congress members who have asked the Trump administration to officially recognize Israel’s nuclear program.

Israel has neither confirmed nor denied the existence of nuclear weapons, but it is widely believed to possess a nuclear arsenal.
