The anniversary ceremony of Ruhollah Khomeini will be held without foreign guests and without a speech by Hassan Khomeini.

The organizers of the anniversary ceremony of Ruhollah Khomeini’s passing have announced that there will be no foreign guests this year, and Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of the founder of the Islamic Republic, will not give a speech.

This ceremony is held annually on June 4th at his mausoleum, attended by senior political and military officials of Iran and some ambassadors. In previous years, Ali Khamenei and Hassan Khomeini delivered speeches.

Mohammad Ali Ansari, one of the organizers of this ceremony, has stated that a message from Mojtaba Khamenei will be read at this year’s ceremony.

He also announced that this year, the widespread presence of pilgrims like in previous years is not possible, but provincial convoys, mainly from neighboring provinces, will be dispatched with specific planning.

According to reports, it is said that the absence of some figures at this year’s ceremony might be related to security reasons and considerations.
