Russia targeted Ukraine’s energy infrastructure

Russia launched dozens of attack drones accompanied by firing dozens of missiles to target Ukraine’s energy infrastructure in extensive attacks.

According to Radio Free Europe, in the early morning attacks on the third of Farvardin, at least 150 missiles and drones, according to the Ukrainian president, targeted facilities including the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, which are involved in supplying electricity to Ukraine.

Almost complete blackout occurred in Ukraine as a result of these attacks, and Zaporizhzhia sustained at least 12 drone strikes.

Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko called these attacks the largest attack on his country’s energy industry in recent times.

Infrastructure officials report efforts to control the consequences of the damage and start necessary repairs, while Ukrainian relief agencies confirm their efforts to provide aid to the affected, confirming casualties in Zaporizhzhia and other areas.
