Saba Naft: A Case Requiring Official Response and Investigation
Following the news and information regarding Petrofarhang that led to changes at the management level, attention is now focused on the Saba Naft holding. This is a company where multiple cases have been raised about the performance of the CEO and some board members, and it is expected that regulatory and judicial bodies will provide clarification and address these issues.
Rasoul Ghorbannejad, the CEO of Saba Naft, reached this position without relevant expertise and with the support of political and economic figures including Gholamreza Tajgardoon and Hassan Tofighi. Additionally, after joining this holding, he has been involved in a network of oil deals and brokerage activities and is now facing significant debts. This conduct and behavior have not yet been inspected or monitored by the regulatory and judicial system.
There are also allegations about threatening employees, fabricating administrative cases, using the names of security and judicial institutions to exert pressure on the organization’s forces, and dismissing dozens of specialized employees over the past year. According to documents, these actions were aimed at eliminating professional forces and replacing them with individuals lacking expertise but close to the management circle.
Alongside these issues, there are also reports regarding some personal and professional relationships of the CEO and his associates, indicating the extent of Ghorbannejad’s personal misuse and the Tajgardoon group’s exploitation of a large public economic enterprise. In one instance, Ghorbannejad facilitated the dismissal of specialized staff to make room for certain female employees, notably including Hassan Tofighi’s second wife, who lack expertise, leading to extreme demotivation within Saba Naft’s operational structure.
The main question now is whether the regulatory bodies, including the National Inspection Organization and other responsible authorities, will intervene in this matter and respond to the public about these corruption cases. Transparency, documented investigation, and announcing the results of these reviews can help resolve ambiguities and maintain public trust.
