Salman Safavi warns of increased poverty and misery due to Jalili’s presidency.
Dr. Seyed Salman Safavi, head of the International Peace Studies Center in London and brother of Sardar Rahim Safavi, issued a statement in support of Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian warning of the consequences of Saeed Jalili’s dominance in the executive branch.
In the published text, he stated,
If you do not want
More sanctions, more poverty, more misery, more inflation, more discrimination, more filtering, more restrictions on women’s rights.
So,
Do not let the Ahmadinejad era be repeated.
By sanctioning the elections, you are essentially giving the vote to extremist anti-fundamental rights.
Vote for the physicians to keep the hope of reforms alive.
Reform is gradual, and physicians can pursue reforms in the livelihoods of youth, women, and the underprivileged.
