Sara Rajai dedicated the European Short Film Animation Award to the protesters in Iran

Sara Rajai, an Iranian filmmaker and animator, after receiving the short animation award from the European Film Academy for the short animation ‘City of Poets’, dedicated this award to the protesters in Iran.

Rajai said at the award ceremony, ‘I am here tonight with a heavy heart, and I dedicate this award and this film to the brave people of Iran, especially those who have lost their lives.’

‘City of Poets’ is a short animation that narrates the years of the Iran-Iraq war and life on the streets of a city during that period.

In recent days, a significant number of well-known cultural and artistic figures have also expressed their solidarity with the protesters by reacting to the protests in Iran.
