Sara Masoumi wrote on Network X that there is no major agreement in progress.
Sara Masoumi, a diplomatic and international journalist, has been reporting on the delegation of nuclear policy negotiations to Ali Shamkhani since the beginning of 1403 on Network X.
At the beginning of the thirteenth government, the responsibility for policy-making in negotiations was entrusted to the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council and the Secretariat of the Shura, with Ali Baqeri as the head of the negotiating team.
After changes in the Supreme National Security Council, this policy-making remained with the council, but did not yield the desired results.
Since the beginning of this year, the responsibility for policy-making in this case has been returned to Shamkhani, and Ali Baqeri continues to be the head of the negotiating team.
Recent negotiations in Muscat have continued the ongoing trend of indirect talks between Tehran and Washington, with no significant changes occurring in this round. Reports of a major agreement in media outlets like Middle East Eye are far from reality and seem to be more for sensationalism purposes.
Considering that this responsibility has been delegated to Shamkhani since the beginning of this year and is not new, is the publication of this news an attempt to pave the way for Ali Shamkhani to enter the presidential race? It is possible that the person in charge of negotiating policy in the new government may change.
However, regarding the news titled ‘Pertemtaraq Agreement,’ it must be said that significant changes in the negotiation situation cannot be expected until the US presidential elections. At best, both sides can only maintain a space for dialogue.
