Sardar Azmoun’s reaction to the murder of a student: If I don’t talk about Navid, it means I have betrayed the Turkmens.

Sardar Azmoun, the striker of Iran’s national football team, shared a picture of Navid Badpa, a student from Gonbad-e Kavus who was killed by the Islamic Republic during the Iranian revolutionary uprising, on his Instagram story and wrote, ‘If I don’t talk about Navid, it means I have betrayed the Turkmens, I have betrayed Turkmen Sahra.’

The striker of Iran’s national football team continued in this Instagram story, ‘I am sad and sorrowful like all the people of Iran. This is not how it should be, for young people to be lost like this.’
