Sardar Azmoun’s reaction to the murder of a student: If I don’t speak about Navid, it means I have betrayed the Turkmen.

Sardar Azmoun, the forward of Iran’s national football team, posted a picture of Navid Badpa, a student from Gonbad-e Kavus who was killed by the Islamic Republic during the Iranian revolutionary uprising, on his Instagram story. He wrote, ‘If I don’t speak about Navid, it means I have betrayed the Turkmen, I have betrayed Turkmen Sahara.’

The forward of Iran’s national football team continued in this Instagram story, writing, ‘I am upset and sad like all the people of Iran. This is not right for the youth to be cut down.’
