Sardoui, a member of the government’s Agriculture Commission, wants to keep the dollar price between 65,000 to 75,000 tomans.

Zabihollah Azami Sardoui, a member of the Parliament’s Agriculture Commission, said that the reality is the government must intervene in the current situation and control it. There is a common belief among the people that whenever the government is short on budget, it becomes happy with the rising dollar because it sells them and pays off its debts.

This member of the Agriculture Commission, referring to the country’s economic situation, said, ‘I mentioned that in the worst-case scenario, the dollar would reach 100,000 tomans, but I also said it would reach 80,000 tomans, which the situation came close to. Although the government is trying to keep the dollar between 65,000 to 75,000 tomans, sometimes international conditions might lead to events, or Donald Trump might come back to power and do something that affects the currency price. In the worst-case scenario, the dollar reaches 100,000 tomans, but if the government manages it, it might stay between 60,000 to 80,000 tomans.’
