Mojarani: Saturday closures will replace Wednesday closures

Fatemeh Mohajerani, the government spokesperson, announced on Sunday in a gathering with reporters that provinces can declare Saturdays as holidays.

Government spokesperson Masoud Pezeshkian said that considering the imbalance in water, electricity, and energy, if governors decide to close the province, this closure will be on Saturdays at the suggestion of the private sector.

Last Wednesday, more than half of Iran’s provinces were declared closed due to electricity shortages.

According to the government spokesperson, Saturday closures will replace Wednesday closures.
