Saudi Arabia: The Strait of Hormuz and Bab al-Mandab must remain open and secure

Faisal bin Farhan, the Saudi Arabian Minister of Foreign Affairs, emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz, Bab al-Mandab, and all maritime routes must remain open and secure.

In a meeting with his Japanese counterpart Toshimitsu Motegi, he stated that maritime security remains a top priority and that Saudi Arabia will continue efforts to reduce tensions and prevent the return of conflicts.

The Saudi Foreign Minister also stressed the necessity of achieving comprehensive and sustainable diplomatic solutions to address the factors of instability in the region, stating that dialogue diplomacy and peaceful methods remain Riyadh’s priorities.
