In times of air pollution, school closures should be the last option.
The head of the Environmental Protection Organization stated that school closures are one of the options available worldwide in times of air pollution. We believe that closures should be the last resort, and all other options such as reducing industrial pollution and implementing traffic restrictions should be considered first. This would result in decreased vehicle traffic and increased utilization of public transportation.
