Secretary of the National Population Headquarters: In 24 years, 30% of the country’s population will be elderly
Kazem Foroutan, Secretary of the National Population Headquarters, said that currently, 10% of the country’s population is elderly. However, if the current conditions are maintained, this will reach 30% by the year 2046. Therefore, there needs to be cultural promotion regarding the youthfulness of the country’s population so that people can grasp the situation and understand that if no action is taken now, the problems of an aging society will be significantly greater in 25 years.
