The sentence of solitary confinement against Vahid Eshtari was executed

The prison sentence of Vahid Eshraghi has been carried out.

According to the announcement on Thursday, 31st of Khordad, by the Mizan news agency affiliated with the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the case of Vahid Eshraghi, a member of the conservative spectrum activists, has been referred to the court for execution of the verdict, and he has been taken to prison after the court’s final ruling.

Vahid Eshraghi Mahini’s name had previously been brought up due to extensive disclosures about Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament and the current presidential candidate. Eshraghi had revealed details about the financial corruption of the Ghalibaf family, including the case known as ‘Sismoni Gate’.
