Severe disciplinary and security actions against over two hundred students at the University of Gilan

According to reports from students at the University of Gilan, this university, in an illegal and oppressive process, has suspended about 138 students for one semester and about 34 students for two semesters.

Additionally, the disciplinary files of 22 other students from this university have been referred to the Central Disciplinary Council in Tehran for review, for possible sentencing under clause 14, which entails a suspension of three academic semesters, and clause 16, which entails a suspension of four academic semesters.

These disciplinary actions have sometimes been carried out through text messages, phone calls, and verbal confrontations, or at best, through the formation of meetings in an illegal format of a disciplinary committee. Also, to expel non-local students from the dormitory, a three-day eviction notice was sent via text message, even though according to regulations, if the sentence is confirmed at the appeal stage, the issued sentences should be implemented from the next semester.
