Seyed Mohammad Sadr said the war period was harder than now.
A member of the Expediency Discernment Council, in an interview with Shargh newspaper, stated that trust is established when the government and authorities involve people in all matters.
He added that when you don’t allow people to have political and cultural participation and even don’t let them have their own candidates in elections, it is natural that over time, the trust that existed between the people and the government since the beginning of the revolution will decrease.
Sadr said that during the war, the economic situation was much worse than it is now, meaning most goods were unavailable and the rest were rationed. Despite this, the current problems in Iran didn’t exist because there was a friendly and trust-building relationship between the government and the nation.
