Shamkhani, the political advisor to the Supreme Leader, says Iran's contact with the US before the attack on Ain al-Assad is a lie

Ali Shamkhani, the political advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader, denies the claim of Iran’s contact with the US before the attack on Ain al-Asad.

The political advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader, while denying recent statements by former US President Donald Trump regarding Iran’s contact with the US before the missile attack on Ain al-Asad base, said that it was unanimously decided to carry out a massive missile operation against Ain al-Asad base, which is considered the most important US base in Iraq, in order to achieve maximum destruction in a completely surprise manner.

Due to Iran’s close relations with Iraq and considerations for neighboring countries, the matter was only communicated to the then Prime Minister of Iraq half an hour before the operation, so that it would not be possible to predict the specific protective measures by the US.
