Shervin’s video has been viewed 30 million times.

The record for views of Persian-language videos on Instagram has been broken.

Yesterday, Shervin Hajipour, a singer, released a video titled ‘Trash’ which has been viewed approximately 30 million times on his own page within 24 hours of its release.

This view count is the highest for a Persian video on Instagram in recent years and is considered a record. Shervin had also set a record with nearly 40 million views for a video during last year’s protests. The view count for the song ‘Trash’ is significant in the sense that it was achieved not in a fervent and heated protest atmosphere, but in a relatively calm environment these days.

To compare this view count, it can be compared to the views of Sadegh Boghie’s videos. The most viewed video on Sadegh Boghie’s page had 168 million views. Now, Shervin’s song ‘Trash’ has reached the threshold of 30 million views in just one day.
