Siahkali: Selling cars through auctions is a new charlatanism

Lotfollah Siahkali, a member of parliament, reacted to the news of cars being offered on the stock exchange, saying, ‘In which part of the world is selling cars done through auctions? This is a new charlatanism in the automotive sector to raise car prices because they cannot increase car prices within the legal framework, so they offer them on the stock exchange.’

He stated, ‘The stock exchange is a place for auctions. How can cars be sold through auctions? In which part of the world is car selling done by auction? This is a new charlatanism in the automotive sector to raise car prices because they cannot increase car prices within the legal framework, so they offer them on the stock exchange. And since people are in need, they buy out of necessity, and the price is set there, and they raise the price there. This is a chronic problem that exists in our automotive industry, and unfortunately, the minister does not realize this.’
