The emergency director of Sina Hospital: Most protesters were injured in the eyes, lungs, and genital organs.
Hossein Kermanspour, the emergency director of Sina Hospital, stated that the main concerns people had about their injuries were related to severe eye bleeding, brain and internal bleeding, or orthopedic problems. In any case, those who use these pellets often haven’t received proper training and would shoot the pellets from a close distance, which caused the injuries to be severe.
As we have understood, the most common injuries were first to the eyes and then to the muscles. In some cases, pellets also hit the lungs and genital organs. There were also fractures caused by baton strikes.
