Workers’ six-month wait for the announcement of the legal housing allowance

Faramarz Tofighi, a representative of workers’ wages, said that workers have been waiting for six months for the announcement of the legal housing allowance. The Supreme Labor Council approved a housing allowance of 650,000 tomans from the beginning of the year in March, but there is still no news of the law being implemented.

The government cannot ignore wage laws. It is unprecedented for the housing allowance approved by the Supreme Labor Council, which was ratified with the signatures of government ministers, not to be implemented. This is the first time we see the government not adhering to its ministers’ signatures.
