SMS Fraud with the Hijab and Chastity Scheme in Qom

The head of the cyber police of the Qom provincial police command said cybercriminals are committing fraud by exploiting SMS messages related to the hijab and chastity scheme.

They commit fraud by sending fake SMS messages containing malicious links from personal numbers. If individuals click on the link, it leads to the installation of harmful malware, directing the user to a fake bank portal, hacking the mobile phone, stealing information, and ultimately withdrawing money from the individuals’ accounts.
