A special SIM card for foreign tourists to access the internet
Minister of Communications, Eisa Zarapour, has said that a special SIM card will be provided to foreign tourists to access WhatsApp and Instagram, which are filtered in Iran, so they can have a better use of the virtual space.
Mr. Zarapour has stated that it has been heard that tourists and foreign visitors in the country have encountered some difficulties due to the filtering of the two platforms, WhatsApp and Instagram.
He further stated that we intend to design special SIM cards for foreign tourists who have traveled to our country, considering the limitations on the use of these two platforms.
According to him, the purpose of this is to enable these individuals to use the virtual space more comfortably and better during their stay in Iran.
