Spokesperson: 35 Police Officers Lost Their Lives in the Past 2 Years Due to Accidental Shooting

The spokesperson of the police stated that 35 people have lost their lives in the past 2 years due to the wrong tradition of shooting.

Commander Saeed Montazer-al-Mahdi, the deputy of cultural and social affairs and the spokesperson of Faraja, emphasized that citizens and respected tribes should refrain from shooting at various ceremonies. In a note, he wrote that he wants to talk to you about the tradition of shooting at various wedding and mourning ceremonies. This improper tradition is actually a type of innovation that sometimes results in the death of the bride and groom or a child, or leads to severe and irreparable brain damage and injuries.

Montazer-al-Mahdi continued the note by stating that one of the most important visual manifestations of insecurity in a society is the scene of shooting among the population. However, this is a common problem worldwide, and in some countries, it has led to bitter tragedies. For example, in the United States, such criminal behaviors are referred to as mass shootings.

It is even more regrettable to announce that from the year 1401 until now, 35 of our dear citizens have lost their lives in these alarming and improper shootings, and dozens have become disabled, which is very heartbreaking.

In our country’s laws, owning and using firearms is prohibited and considered a crime. Even legal owners of hunting weapons are responsible for this dangerous tool.

Police measures and policies in dealing with this visible crime are unequivocal and definitely involve legal action against owners of illegal weapons. If individuals voluntarily surrender their illegal weapons and firearms, they will receive legal immunity.
